			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Activist organization <a href= "http://can-you-solve-this.org/"> Can You Solve This?</a> has launched a QR code campaign to raise awareness for education inequality in Iran. The movement which was launched in Berlin last Saturday has put QR codes on stickers, t-shirts and posters to draw attention to the cause.<br />
<a href="http://blog.revolver-pr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/can-you-solve-this.jpg"><img src="http://blog.revolver-pr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/can-you-solve-this-300x187.jpg" alt="" title="can-you-solve-this" width="300" height="187" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3483" /></a>Campaign organiser Esra’a Al Shafei from Bahrain explained their use of QR codes &#8211; “You really need to stand out to make an impact on students and young people. Technology based things like the QR codes appeal to our audience without asking them to sign boring petitions.&#8221;</p>
<p>The campaign’s message &#8216;Can You Solve This?&#8217; has a double meaning. The first element is for people to “solve” the code’s meaning by scanning it. The second part asks people around the world to join together to fix the problem of educational inequality in Iran. Ruha Reyhani, an organizer from Berlin explained that:<br />
&#8220;Normally with human rights campaigns people are overdosed with information, but because this appears like a riddle, we hope that people will feel inticed to participate.”</p>
<p>The campaign was created to raise awareness of the Iranian regime which discriminates against many students, including those who follow <a href= "http://www.bahai.org/">Baha’i Faith. </A>(A monotheistic religion founded by Bahá&#8217;u'lláh in 19th-century Persia, emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind. There are an estimated five to six million Bahá  followers around the world.) Students of this faith find that they can’t register for classes, take exams or are not accepted at universities. The Baha’i Higher Education Institute, an online school set up by Baha’i officials for excluded students, was closed in May. The Iranian regime also arrested dozens of the institute’s staff, media reports said.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.revolver-pr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Can-you-Solve-this-QR-440x440.jpg"><img src="http://blog.revolver-pr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Can-you-Solve-this-QR-440x440-300x300.jpg" alt="" title="Can-you-Solve-this-QR-440x440" width="300" height="300" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3489" /></a>The site tells users to scan the code, watch a video, send a letter, and forward information about the campaign to social media friends.</p>
<p>“In Iran, the denial of education is a reality that many young people are being forced to accept as they are directly being denied access to universities and institutions of higher learning,”  the Can You Solve This website explains. “This is not because the institutions of learning are not available, but rather, because these young people have different political views, social affiliations or religious convictions.” Student political activists, feminists human rights activists and young girls in general are amongst those most affected. </p>

<p>The mobile marketing and multi platform competition, <a href="http://info.citroen.co.uk/ds4seekers/">DS4 Seekers</a> is essentially a massive game of hide and seek where players hide a virtual DS4s in the streets around them.</p>
<p>After registering on their  <a href="http://www.facebook.com/CitroenUK?sk=app_117209978373593">Facebook page</a>, players are given a virtual DS4 to hide across Google Mobile Maps and Streetview.  Players are then rewarded points if they successfully hide it from competitors or if they find a rival’s virtual Citreon DS4s.  The points gives the player one entry in the draw to win a brand new DS4, the more points won gives them more entries and more chances to win.</p>

<p>Remember this advert from all the way back in 2005? (That long ago?!)</p>

<p>The ad was for the arrival of the <a href= "http://www.sony.co.uk/section/home">Sony</a> BRAVIA LCD range, with a short film featuring coloured bouncing balls (in real time) bouncing down the streets of San Francisco. The message conveyed? That the colour from the Sony screens was to be like nothing ever seen before! </p>
<p>Fast forward to the super advanced technological heights of 2011, and Sony have re-created a version of the ad to announce that four key matches from the Wimbledon finals will be transmitted live in HD 3-D to 3D-capable cinemas around the world. </p>

<p>The <a href= "http://revolver-pr.co.uk/services">digital campaign </a> created by<a href= "http://www.disqo.com/"> Disqo</a> accompanies the T.V ad with<a href= "http://disqo.goldensq.com/sony_wimbledon/sonyWimbledon_sky/"> rich banners</a> on sport and news sites showing tennis action sequences with the tennis ball appearing to come out of the screen, and a 3D zoom-in of the crowd on &#8216;Murray Mound&#8217;.</p>

This adds weight to evidence that major companies are heading online to connect to their audience, it is predicted that social media advertising spend will quadruple by 2015. Social media and <a title="Revolver" href="http://www.revolver-pr.co.uk/" target="_blank">digital PR</a> is proving to target more effectively, turning what on traditional media is a passive experience into something people can contribute to, interact and engage with.</p>

<p>In a similarly random move and addition to the Glass and A Half Full ads, this most recent 90 second commercial features items of clothing coming to life in a charity shop and dancing around to Jermaine Stewart’s quite fine number ‘<span style="color: #000000;">We don’t have to take our clothes off.’ </span>The bizarre but upbeat and joyful nature of the advert certainly fits in well with the other ads in the series and leaves you struggling not to crack a smile! Yet again, another captivating ad that transfers well when considering the brands <a href="http://revolver-pr.co.uk/services/online-pr">digital PR</a> and certainly seems to have the potential to go viral.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Standing together to take action &#8211; a possible motto for the recent campaign against the death penalty in France.</p>
<p>In France, they have adopted a unique approach to highlighting the issue of the death penalty by way of an original digital installation created by the <a href="http://www.marcelparis.com/" target="_blank">Marcel </a>agency, which helps shine light on the cause by showing passers-by in the Parisian library that they too can help. By literally standing up against the death penalty. Two digital panels were mounted opposite each other at a distance of 4 meters, with each screen displaying a video: on one, a soldier pointing a rifle, on the other, a prisoner awaiting for execution. When passers-by walked in between the two screens, the video changed, showing the soldier lowering his gun and the prisoner was freed.</p>
<p>There was a sticker on the marker upon which each passer-by stood and with it a QR code which enabled users to sign a petition against the death penalty. Just a short flash with your smart phone allows each person to stand up and make a difference and could help save a life.</p>
<p>An effective and emotive <a href="http://revolver-pr.co.uk/services/online-pr" target="_blank">digital campaign</a>.</p>
